Never Whistle at Night (and Other Asian Superstitions)

Banana Magazine

Art by Grace Hwang and Ruth Kim

Banana Magazine is an annual, print-only publication that explores the blurred boundaries of the East and West, and supports voices in contemporary Asian culture.

For Issue 005, I authored an interactive piece on Asian superstitions that were crowd-sourced through the magazine’s social media. To accompany the copy, I got to collaborate with artists from Luckynumbr to create a “Where’s Waldo?”-inspired illustration that encourages readers to identify 14 superstitions.
