Bokksu is a multi-brand Japanese snack company that aims to bridge cultures through flavors and experiences.

As Senior Copywriter, I was the go-to person for all copy needs, including website copy, email copy, paid ads, printed snack guides, and more. I also created brand messaging guidelines for all of Bokksu’s six brands, establishing the distinct messaging and tone of voice for each, and implementing them across all copy and platforms.

I frequently collaborated with Bokksu’s creative team to compose visuals for the websites and guides, the marketing team to promote the products across multiple channels, the product team to learn more about each of the sourced snacks, and the e-commerce team to author copy for Bokksu’s websites.

I wrote all of the copy that supported Bokksu’s major and minor campaigns, including our limited edition Cherry Blossom seasonal box and our first ever Advent Calendar.

I worked closely with Bokksu’s Lifecycle Marketing Manager to craft marketing emails for every major campaign, weekly deals, and general welcome emails flow.

Printed Culture Guides

Each month, tens of thousands of Bokksu Snack Box subscribers receive a box full of themed Japanese treats and a culture guide. At Bokksu, I authored each month’s guide, sharing stories behind the snacks and cultural anecdotes related to the month’s unique theme.
